Abdominal correction after weight changes, pregnancy or previous surgery.
Surgery can remove excess skin and reshape the abdomen. The extent is determined after an examination of the muscles and overall health.

After pregnancy or substantial weight loss, a fold of skin and fat may remain that exercise cannot remove. The surgeon also assesses stretch marks, existing scars, separation of the abdominal muscles and a possible hernia. Only stretch marks on the skin removed during surgery can be eliminated.
Abdominoplasty changes body contours but does not replace weight loss. A suspected hernia needs a separate examination and a plan agreed with a specialist.
Visible changes alone do not mean that abdominoplasty is the right procedure.
The plan considers diabetes and its control, weight fluctuations, heart and lung conditions, clotting disorders, smoking, infections, existing scars and pregnancy plans. Active illness may require postponement. Tell the surgeon about medication and supplements.
Possible complications include bleeding, infection, fluid collections, thrombosis, healing problems and changes in sensation. A scar remains after surgery.
Assessment maps excess skin above and below the navel, diastasis, hernias and previous scars. Endoscopic correction addresses muscles when skin tone is sufficient; full surgery may involve repositioning the navel. Hernia treatment is planned separately.
Full surgery removes excess skin and subcutaneous tissue and, as agreed, repairs the muscle wall and establishes the navel position. Drains are used where needed after closure; combined liposuction must be included in the plan beforehand.
Assess the abdomen while standing: the skin fold, navel, muscle wall and previous scars.
Review health and investigate diastasis or a hernia where indicated to agree the parts of the operation.
Treat the agreed excess tissue; muscle repair and liposuction are performed only as included in the plan.
Examine the wound and swelling, decide when any drains should be removed and gradually increase activity.
The team determines the clinic observation period, wound care, dressings and whether drains or compression garments are needed. Swelling, bruising and tightness are possible in the first weeks. Scars continue to change for much longer.
Return to work and sport depends on the extent of surgery and healing; recovery from a major procedure often takes several weeks. The 4–6 week guide is not an individual prediction. Activity, lifting, hot baths and sauna use are restricted as advised by the surgeon. Contact the medical team immediately for unusual severe pain or a sudden deterioration.
Exercise helps muscles but does not always remove substantial excess skin. Examination determines whether skin excision is needed and whether the muscle wall has changed.
Muscle repair may be included after diastasis is confirmed. A suspected hernia needs separate investigation and treatment planning with the relevant specialists.
Full surgery addresses a larger area of abdominal skin. Establishing a new navel position may be part of that plan; the need is assessed beforehand.
The surgical price includes anaesthesia, inpatient stay, medication, dressings and follow-up examinations. A consultation costs UAH 5,000. The final plan and price are confirmed after an examination. All prices →
