Knee liposuction
Local correction of subcutaneous fat around the knees.
Knee fullness may be due to fat, skin, swelling or other causes. The surgeon assesses the knees and adjacent leg areas.

When surgery is considered
The main concern is local fat changing the knee contour. Age alone is not an indication: the decision depends on tissues, health and expectations.
What the surgeon assesses
- Local fullness around the kneeThe surgeon assesses the front, inner and other areas where the patient notices fullness.
- Transition to thigh and lower legKnee contours are assessed with the whole leg; several areas may be discussed.
- Loose skin or separate massesThese need a different assessment. Fat removal is not always helpful and does not treat lipomas.
What to know before deciding
Surgery cannot guarantee perfectly symmetrical knees. Substantial excess skin or another cause of fullness requires a different plan.
Even a small area can develop swelling, bruising, irregularities and other complications; a smaller procedure is not automatically risk-free.
Local fat correction around the knees
The surgeon distinguishes subcutaneous fat from swelling or joint changes and compares both knees and their transitions to the thigh and lower leg. Small access incisions are planned around skin folds. Adding thigh liposuction increases the scope beyond local knee treatment.
Following the markings, a cannula removes small local deposits and access incisions are closed. The goal is to contour soft tissue rather than change the joint or bone.
When the plan is reconsidered
Surgery is postponed for acute infection, a flare-up of illness, pregnancy or breastfeeding. Diabetes, a history of cancer, clotting disorders and heart, kidney or liver conditions are assessed separately. Fullness may be due to the joint or swelling rather than fat; unclear changes are investigated first.
Even a small volume change can create noticeable asymmetry or irregularities. Swelling, bruising, changes in sensation, bleeding and infection are possible; the surgeon explains risks for the planned correction.
Walking and swelling after knee contouring
Swelling, bruising, discomfort and changes in sensation are possible. The surgeon determines compression and examinations.
Walking and activity resume under an individual plan. Sauna use, swimming and hot baths are temporarily restricted. Final contours are assessed after swelling subsides.
Questions to discuss
Will liposuction change the shape of the knee joint?
No. It treats local subcutaneous fat rather than the joint or bone. Unexplained fullness or swelling is investigated first.
Can knee correction be combined with thigh liposuction?
A combination may be discussed if it suits your concern. It changes the scope, so treatment areas, anaesthesia and recovery are planned together.
Is there a separate knee-liposuction price in the list?
A standalone knee-liposuction figure is not listed. Knees appear in a combined leg-lift entry; the cost of local treatment is confirmed after examination.
Price and consultation
The final extent and price are confirmed after an examination.
The price list has no separate knee liposuction price. Knees are mentioned in a combined thigh lift; the price of a standalone procedure is confirmed after examination.
