Leg and thigh liposuction
Reshaping leg and thigh contours with adjacent areas in mind.

When surgery is considered
Surgery addresses local subcutaneous fat rather than weight loss. Legs and thighs include different areas; their extent is clarified before discussing results and prices.
What the surgeon assesses
- Inner thighsDeposits can affect contours and the gap between the legs; skin is also assessed.
- Outer and front surfacesSpecific areas may appear disproportionate to the pelvis and the rest of the leg.
- Thigh foldsSubcutaneous fat must be distinguished from excess skin to determine whether combined techniques are needed.
What to know before deciding
Calf, lower-leg or overall leg shape needs a separate assessment. Not every change can be safely and effectively corrected with liposuction.
Liposuction does not treat cellulite, stretch marks or substantial skin drooping; results cannot be guaranteed from photographs.
Marking individual thigh areas
Inner, outer and front thigh surfaces are assessed separately and in proportion to the whole leg. Once areas are agreed, a solution prepares the tissue before cannula removal of fat through small access incisions. The number of areas affects procedure length and scope.
Cannulas connected to a vacuum system remove the planned fat deposits. Thigh contouring considers transitions between areas; incision closure and anaesthesia are agreed beforehand.
When the plan is reconsidered
Pregnancy, breastfeeding, acute infection and a flare-up of chronic illness require postponement. Diabetes, a history of cancer and clotting disorders need assessment. The surgeon checks that fullness is due to fat rather than swelling, considers vein health and previous thrombosis, and discusses a lift if there is excess skin.
Thighs may develop irregularities, asymmetry, prolonged swelling or changes in sensation. Thrombosis risk is assessed separately; bleeding, infection and anaesthesia complications are also discussed in advance.
Leg compression and gradual activity
Swelling, bruising and temporary numbness are possible. Compression garments are often recommended; the surgeon determines the type and duration.
Movement and return to activity are agreed with the team. Sauna use, swimming and hot baths are restricted. Contact the team for severe pain, increasing swelling or other concerning symptoms.
Questions to discuss
Does leg liposuction treat every part of the legs?
No. Inner, outer and front thigh surfaces are assessed separately. The areas included in surgery and its price must be agreed beforehand.
Can liposuction correct sagging inner thighs?
If substantial excess skin is the cause, fat removal alone may be insufficient. A thigh lift is then discussed.
Why assess swelling and veins before surgery?
Increased leg volume is not always fat. Swelling, vein health and previous thrombosis affect investigation and surgical risk assessment.
Price and consultation
The final extent and price are confirmed after an examination.
The price list gives a general leg liposuction entry; the specific thigh areas are agreed during a consultation.
